NoxKids — Online Language Learning Platform for Children
We built a web-based learning platform for NoxKids, an online language school for children, managing the whole process from package sales to lesson planning: language packages, Google sign-in, teacher applications, admin, teacher and student panels, lesson requests, a support system, a blog and a multilingual interface.
About the project
NoxKids is a language school where children learn foreign languages online through one-to-one and group lessons. Parents buy packages to enrol their children in regular lessons, while teachers work according to the timetable set by NoxKids; instead of an off-the-shelf system, a platform tailored to this model was designed.
The platform was developed with Next.js, using Supabase for authentication, the database and file storage. Visitors can browse packages in languages such as English, German, Spanish and French; each package shows the number of one-to-one and group lessons, the validity period and access to video lessons. Users can sign in with e-mail and password or with their Google account, and prospective teachers can apply to join the team through a separate application form.
On the back end there are separate panels for the administrator, teachers and students. The admin panel brings together a dashboard with a calendar and statistics, package, student, teacher and lesson management, approval of lesson requests and assignment to teachers, support tickets, the blog, page content, frequently asked questions and language settings.
Need
Running package sales, students' lesson credits, the teaching staff, the timetable and communication with parents through separate tools costs an online language school time and leads to errors. Off-the-shelf learning platforms, on the other hand, are built for teachers who set their own prices and hours, and do not offer enough flexibility for a model in which the school itself sets the timetable and the fee structure.
Solution
We designed a role-based platform around the school's business model. The front end includes language packages, the blog, corporate pages, sign-in and teacher applications, and the interface can be displayed in different languages through a language selector.
From the admin panel, packages are defined, lesson credits are added to students and their purchase history is tracked, and teachers are assigned subjects. Lessons are created and shown on a calendar, and lesson requests from students are approved and assigned to a teacher. Support tickets are answered in the panel; the blog, page content, FAQs and site texts can be updated without any coding knowledge.

Result
